
Background & Experience
Doug is an executive coach and leadership advisor, helping senior leaders maximize their impact through partnership, purpose and deep psychological insight. He brings over 20 years of experience in leadership advisory, talent development and culture change. He specializes in C-Suite assessment, executive coaching and team effectiveness as levers to support businesses in building the leadership capability they need to deliver on their strategy.
Doug has worked with clients of all sizes, from large multi-nationals to founder-led start-ups. He has worked across multiple sectors, including fintech, financial services, FMCG, construction and pharmaceuticals. His work has extended beyond the UK into mainland Europe, AsiaPac, Middle East, Africa and North America. He spent 3 years as Head of Coaching at YSC, working to build the internal faculty and ensure the quality of coaching, whilst also looking externally to strengthen the brand and grow the coaching practice.
Qualifications
Doug is a Chartered Occupational Psychologist and an accredited executive coach through the ICF (International Coaching Federation), holding a Practitioner Diploma in Executive Coaching from the AoEC. Doug has an MSc in Occupational Psychology from London Metropolitan University, and a BSc in Psychology and French from Goldsmiths’ University. He is a qualified and practicing Coaching Supervisor, holding a Professional Certificate in Coaching Supervision from Henley Business School. He is qualified in Systemic Team Coaching with the AOEC and a qualified practitioner in Cognitive Behavioral Coaching. He is trained and multiple psychometric instruments including the Hogan suite, Firo-b, NEO-PIR, MBTI and the 16PF.​
Outside Work
Doug is the proud father of two lively tweenagers, who he lovingly and willingly devotes much of his spare time to. Along with his wife, Louise, he lives in Surrey, to the South-West of London. Outside family life, he is a keen swimmer and finds himself regularly in and out of various pools, rivers and lakes throughout the UK. He is also an enthusiastic skier and golfer when time allows and will also occasionally join the Lycra clad peloton in various cycling forays into the Surrey Hills and even into mainland Europe when fitness levels allow.​
